National Day

Well, today was quite eventful I guess. My cousin called me in the early afternoon to remind me to watch the 12pm show. I went back to sleep obviously. I really want to watch that show. But, I want to sleep more. So I woke up at 1pm, and the show had already ended. Forget it then. Hah. I watched Just for Laugh while eating my bread and eggs. I laughed out loud. I never fail to laugh out loud whenever I am watching Just for Laugh. It's a very entertaining show. But I didn't finish watching it as I needed to leave my house for work.

I wasn't late for work today. I feel weird being early. I don't know why. Anyway, I was made to do counter. Not kitchen. It's been a really long time since I've worked inside kitchen. Everything went quite smoothly. Until this customer came.. I took her order, and she gave me 50 bucks for her orders. I handed her her change and kind of chatted with her. After that, she told me she didn't receive her change. The manager heard her and he said he will check it for her. He checked the total amount of money in the cashier and it was correct. He then checked the cctv and I really did give her the change! So he clarified with the customer. We ended up giving her 40 cents. The customer wasn't too sure either. She said she received the notes but she didn't receive the coins.. So.. Forget it.

I then met this customer. He was an elderly. Only my counter was opened and a lot of customers were queuing up for their orders to be taken. This old man was standing at the side, not queuing up, waiting for his turn. I didn't notice him as I was too busy taking other customers' orders. He then hit the table and shouted at me. I had no idea why he did that at that time. He then said that he'd been waiting for so long and I took other people's order instead of his. Only then did I realise that he was waiting for his turn. I didn't know what to do as I was still taking another customer's order. So I kind of ignored him. The customer I was attending to said he was crazy. I didn't know how to react and so I just smiled. That elderly got really angry and shouted again.. I got my friend to take his order. That old man was still complaining.. Hey, I'm also pissed off with that old man. It wasn't exactly my fault, was it? He should have queued up shouldn't he? I don't look around to see who comes first and serve him. Everything went back to normal after that.

8.22pm, the moment. I was right! Everybody in my workplace is going to say the pledge together! My manager got everybody in my workplace to stand in front of the counter and say the pledge together! But only the manager was enthusiastic. The others find it idiotic. To me, it was okay. It's only once in a year. Let's be patriotic. Haha..

The time passed rather quickly, as compared to other working days. Today was fun, but tired at the same time.
